October 27th Open House Donation Event with
the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA).
AWLA runs the Alexandria animal shelter.

Donate at the event by buying raffle tickets for Sponsor-donated items to support AWLA. Raffle drawings will be held during the event. Donations dropped off or bought via QR code at event get one raffle ticket. All proceeds from raffle tickets bought at the event go to AWLA.
AWLA is a 501c3 charity organization (EIN: 54-0796610). AWLA will have receipts that you can fill out to claim donations when you file your taxes.

Well mannered, leashed pets are welcome (no retractable leashes, please). Halloween costumes are most definitely encouraged!!

Live music on the patio by Mike Heuer.

Face painting, glitter tattoos, & Halloween candy for the kids. Face painting & tattoos from 4:30-6:30pm

JK Photography will have a photograph station for Fall backdrop photos of your pet.

Alexandra Schmeling will be present for pet portraits, as well as some of her works on house portraits, Old Town Alexandria, Washington, DC, and beyond.

Raffle drawings for Sponsor-donated items to support AWLA during the event. Raffle drawings will be held at 5 pm, 5:45pm, & 6:30pm. Must be present at raffle drawing to win.

Bring a donation to drop off. AWLA welcomes most new or gently used pet supplies. Check out the AWLA Amazon Wishlist & Chewy Wishlist) for their consistent needs.
You can also donate at the event with a purchase using the Amazon & Chewy Wishlist QR codes.
How did we do for our first Donation Event? Fabulous!
Thank you to all who donated & each local business sponsor.
Raised $1300 from raffles of sponsor-donated items.
One adoption fee ($250) paid by a sponsor, Aussie Pet Mobile, via AWLA's 'Adopt It Forward' Program.
Collected $1500 of donated food, toys, crates, leashes, & treats.
And Guapo got ADOPTED!!
